The BMPRSS 5th Grade Band presented their Winter Concert just before the holiday break. The performance was bittersweet as it was Band Director Katherine Sireno’s final winter concert as she is retiring.

BMPRSS students were in for a real treat as a group of their classmates took to the stage to present a performance relating to Diwali—what it is all about, how its celebrated, and just how much fun it can be!

Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School students were introduced to a great way to start a Monday — Klezmer music! During a toe tapping assembly, hosted by the PTA, students literally got out of their seats and clapped and danced to the music of Pushcart Kapelye, a Klezmer band consisting of musicians Meghan Fitzgerald, Harry Sweet, Judy Sweet, Ethan Hasiuk and Elliott Kurtz.

The new Story Walk at the Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School was a big hit during its opening as families gathered for a good story and to enjoy a beautiful evening.

Second grader Charlie Liebenstein at the Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School said he loves to tell stories and read. Going to the library is one of his favorite activities. So, when he began to think he might like to write a book of his own, he was ready, and wrote "Charlie the Chameleon."
