RSS Student Newspaper

Our Newspaper Club is a writing-focused club aimed at helping students develop invaluable skills that will aid them in their future. Interested fourth and fifth grade students serve as reporters to write about the many events and learning activities offered at the B.M.P. Ridge Street School. Each reporter chooses and develops a newspaper article on a topic of interest. Most are feature articles covering events in school, interviews with school personnel, reviews of favorite books, and reports on field trips. Students also develop polls, questionnaires, opinion pieces, and games. It is designed to capture the generous spirit and intellectual nature of the Ridge Street Community as well as provide students with a way to write about issues that matter the most.
