SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS

The Superintendent of Schools at the Blind Brook-Rye UFSD is Dr. Brian Alm.  He is responsible for the effective operation of the District; general administration of all instructional, business or other operations of the District; and for advising and making recommendations to the Board of Education with respect to such activities.  If you are interested in making an appointment with the superintendent, please contact Dr. Alm’s secretary, Mrs. Vivian Groccia at ext. 1001.

ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF CURRICULUM, INSTRUCTION, AND ASSESSMENT

The Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment at the Blind Brook-Rye UFSD is Mr. Seth Horowitz.  He is responsible for the overall curriculum, assessment, and instructional program in our district. ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF FACILITIES AND FINANCE

BLIND BROOK BUSINESS OFFICE (TRANSPORTATION, BUILDINGS, AND FINANCE)

The Blind Brook Business Office is responsible for all financial and facilities management operations.  Its primary functions include: the preparation and management of the District's annual budget, accounting and auditing services, facilities management and capital construction, employee payroll and benefits administration, pupil transportation, and school food service.

DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY

The Director of Technology is Mr. Charles Von Hollen.  He is responsible for all computer and audiovisual technology in the district.  Southern Westchester BOCES provides engineering support.  Mr. Von Hollen chairs the Technology Committee, a Board-appointed committee consisting of administrators, teachers, community members and a board representative. PUPIL PERSONNEL SERVICES DEPARTMENT

The Director of Pupil Personnel Services, Ms. Alexandra LaFontaine-Casabona, is responsible for all programs for students with disabilities and health services in the school district.  Ms. Alexandra LaFontaine-Casabona can be reached at ext. 1008.  You may also email her at acasabona@blindbrook.org

DIRECTOR OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION, HEALTH AND INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETICS

Mr. Greg Warren is responsible for all aspects of the district’s Physical Education, Health Education and Interscholastic Athletics programs, including developing and evaluating the department’s academic program and budget, program management, hiring and evaluation of coaches, team scheduling, and student selection and discipline.
